Some alignment to Heavy Clay Sector required which will be possible through collaboration with images supplied by sector operators. Consideration of time efficiency for quarry visit and assessing alternative 'appraisal' plan. Reduce Aberfan info. Some less applicable catastrophic event videos considered to be less suitable. Tom really portrayed the geotech elements well, from a text book method to practical experience which really helped land the course well.
material for the clay quarries group to be added into the course.
Really benefitted from this course. Much improved from when I did my level 4 in 2015. The format was good. Maybe needed a little more time from first face to face to the assessment but overall found the content at the right level and easy to follow the on line learning.
Enjoyed the course and the content, I think the professional conversation to follow up and confirm knowledge is a great idea even though I found that quite difficult (nervous) its too easy to say you have attended courses but do you really understand what you have learnt.
David has a wealth of knowledge and experience within the mining industry which has been very insightful when discussing various topics. I am interested in learning more about quarry management gaining insight decision making on choosing and purchasing plant.
Enjoyed and learning was fun,, also helped with future careers
Thanks for your support & learning experience.
