Very well presented and explained. Helped me build confidence in talking to someone about suicide. Made me aware of the language I use when/If someone has suicidal thoughts. Knowing what support is available and supporting to build a safety plan with a person.

I had quite a bit of anxiety going in to this course due to past experiences but the content of the course and the structure, the fact it was all delivered calmly really helped with all that. It was great to have so many people on the course as it meant we had a variety of experiences and viewpoints to bounce ideas off of. The materials were great, clear and easy to use going forward. I didn't think it was possible to say I enjoyed the session but I definitely did and I learned a lot and feel ready to apply what I've learned if I have to. Also massive thank you to Berni, absolutely great trainer, dealt with questions well, used past experience and resources she knows about and managed to keep it lighthearted enough.

Berni was fantastic and the session was great. I learnt a lot, and also feel more confident having these sorts of conversations.

This course exceeded my expectations and I would definitely recommend it to others. As I said previously it is obvious that this course and its delivery comes from a genuine place of wanting to help others facing suicidal thoughts. It is well paced covering good first aid tactics for the students to take forward and feel confident with.
