Greek has significant differences from English, including its alphabet and sentence structure, so it is a challenging language. I started my course with online classes but I quickly switched to meeting my teacher, Vangelis, face to face at the Centre - far more productive and effective. Vangelis has widely based the learning experience on my objectives to communicate with the locals when I am in Greece. I have developed a good knowledge of elementary grammar and memorised useful vocabulary. I always look forward to the opportunity to speak Greek on Fridays.
Hi, Juri is great at presenting grammar in a memorable way and bringing to life some memorable ways of remembering Japanese symbols or cultural practices - all of which enhances the experience. I would like to see a little bit of simple 'testing' so that we might take that away and practice ourselves as a useful reminder periodically. Also I'd like a little help with learning some Japanese symbols in the sidelines. Juri however is a very competent and engaging teach with whom I feel confident and I look forward to her sessions - she is always able to handle all questions admirably. She is a pleasure to work with! The venue struggles for fresh air and temperature regulation (often flies) but most importantly the quality of the fluorescent lights is very poor - I am able to pick up a slight flickering in the frequency (which I know is invisible to some) so they are very offputting and take away from the experience. A common room for tea would be good too!
The course is excellent, Rocio moves at a great pace but constantly recaps and checks we understand. She is very patient and builds confidence by encourage lots of speaking.
Very enjoyable and instructive set of one-to-one sessions. No complaints at all. It's an old building so the rooms and waiting area are just a touch 'worn' but perfectly acceptable.
I enjoyed the classes and the way they were taught more than I expected and hope to continue next term
Great lessons, Jean-Luc is very patient and good fun. Only marked the facilities down to 4 stars as it makes the other scores more credible! See you in September!
I really enjoyed my group French lessons with Jean-Luc. Nice small group size and great little venue in centre of Marlow. I learnt a lot and am looking forward to going back in September for more lessons.
Extremely happy with the course and excellent tuition from Michele who is very patient and goes beyond to try to explain and ensure we are understanding everything being taught. It is a very enjoyable class. As a complete beginner I did find the book a little challenging to revise at home as it is all in Italian!
I really enjoyed this term, Michele is a wonderful teacher, he was so patient going back over previous lessons, making sure we had a good understanding before we moved on, as well as going off piste to answer our questions, even if they weren't what he had planned for the lesson.
