Was a very good course and probably the best course that I have been on within the police and it is nice to have the input as this is something that isn't really covered anywhere else.
Very relevant to my role. I had no experience of court previously and now I feel like I have the basic understanding of how it works, addressing the judge and jury and how to answer questions by the defence.
Trainer was very good at presenting, charismatic and knowledgeable regarding court and overall legal system. Very useful to have this experience without going to court.

I had no experience of the court process before this lesson. The only thing I had done is sat in on a hearing case, so had an idea of the lay out of the magistrates court. I do agree with with some comments that it could be potentially done over two days. It is a long day and our group was 9 - 19:30. So although it was all useful and interesting it was difficult to maintain 100% concentration. I do feel a bit more prepared if I get called to court so I feel this day was essential to the training course.
The trainer’s in-depth knowledge, clear communication style, and ability to break down complex procedures made the content accessible and highly relevant. I especially appreciated the practical advice on how to remain calm under pressure, handle challenging questions, and understand the courtroom dynamic from both sides. The real-world examples and tailored guidance helped bring the material to life and made it directly applicable to my professional role. Overall, I would rate the trainer 5 out of 5 for both content delivery and subject expertise. The session was engaging, insightful, and left me feeling significantly more prepared and confident.
Rob was absolutely terrifying, in that it was not sugar coated at all the way court will come across, which is definitely what is needed in order to fully prepare for it.
