Attendees particularly value the practical use of the ALGEE framework, scenarios and discussions, which make difficult mental-health topics approachable and give them confidence to recognise distress and start sensitive conversations with young people. They describe knowledgeable, empathetic trainers who create a relaxed, non-judgemental space, alongside a well-structured blend of self-study, webinars and breakout activities. The handbook and resources support application at work, though some prefer face-to-face delivery.

I really enjoyed the training and found it very interesting. Steve made it fun and understandable at all levels. I feel I have learnt a lot of new information over the two sessions which I will use in my job role and share with my work colleagues.

I felt that the training was really beneficial for helping young people with a variety of mental health issues. It offered practical advice, and the online learning materials were brilliant for preparing you for the webinars. I appreciated the resources that came in the post, the manual is really in depth and will be a staple when I speak to students about various issues. Thank you very much! Hollie

Excellent training , the pre e-learning modules worked well with a good balance of reading material and activities to engage in, great preparation for the live webinar sessions. It was a great group to work with which helped during discussion break out room activities. Helpful and reassuring to know there is continued support from both Hollie and Lowra if needed. Thank you Hollie and Lowra.

I thought the delivery of the course was really good and it was a relaxed environment considering it was delivered on Teams. I liked the idea of splitting us up into groups to discuss followed by a group discussion. I feel more confident in the way I would handle a situation.

The home learning modules I enjoyed but found it alot of information. I would prefer a face to face group rather than a zoom for subjects of this nature - but totally understand the reasons why. Feel more confident to talk about suicide and be more direct.

Really enjoyed, the content was extremely useful and informative. I feel a lot more confident to support someone in a crisis where I wasn't before. I am glad I have been given the opportunity to be able to support someone in a time of need

It was a hard course to get through with many aspects quite upsetting but necessary.
