SFA02-Suicide First Aid: Understanding Suicide Intervention Reviews

Really good training resulting in staff feeling more confident and skilled in knowing what to do if/when these situations arise. Understanding a very 'simple' process and making it clear or what expectations and risks there are. Felt like a safe space to complete a subject with that topic.

Overall very good, just need an earlier finish as bit too long!

was really good training, honestly couldn't fault it.

I thoroughly enjoyed the training. Suicide can be a difficult topic but is something I come across in my role and have always felt confident when discussing this with young people I work with. However, official training has never really been taken and I now feel competent and confident in my abilities. It was good to have such a high quality and invaluable training delivered to us.

on the joining instructions it was not very clear access to a laptop would be needed- i have attended teams meetings before on my desk top but it was required for me to be seen and heard on this course - my mobile phone did not have battery capacity - my manager loaned me a laptop for week two - had i known i would be better prepared

I found this very valuable and feel much more confident if I find myself in these conversations

I volunteer for a suicide prevention charity and it was helpful to me to get another perspective of this topic. The work within the charity the visitors are there to talk about the suicidal thoughts and feeling. this course was helpful because it teaches about recognising the signs when having a MHFA conversation and the appropriate handling of those conversations.
