It's a good start to preparing for the PMP. There is a lot of information to grasp in 10 days but nonetheless a good start.
This course, as taught by Marcia, is essential for consolidating information from the many books, websites, etc. that are available into what is key and necessary to focus on. It would be impossible to digest the PMBOK and try to pass the test without these insights.
This is a lot of material to learn in just 40 hours, but I do not have any suggestions to improve other than to extend the class 5 - 10 hours
Marcia was great at delivering the information, however...not enough time to go over the amount of questions. I understand this is not a class to learn about PM...but how to pass the PMP. It is a little disheartening not to be provided a tangible book for the course. It made it very difficult...as you cannot highlight or write on the PDF format of the book. I felt very rushed.
I feel prepared to take my PMP, was pretty intimidated before and now feel good.
I am happy I had the opportunity to take this course and I am surprised by how much information I was able to learn in 40 hours.
There is a lot to study and I am nervous for the certification exam but Marcia is very supportive. Woohoo!
Very fast paced class. The objective is to get me to pass the PMP cert the first time. I do not see this happening at all. I don't see my application to take the test getting approved. The ACI staff stated by looking at my resume that I would be a good fit, but I'm not sure that I have the required hours needed to apply. The class was great. I'm just not sure how much of it I will retain if unable to apply the knowledge. I am definitely re-sitting to improve my comprehension.
I would include a sample project for the team to work through and work through. Highlighting how the theory aligns with the steps, and validating the students have good understanding of the concepts. Lots of details were left out leaving me feeling uncomfortable with taking an exam at this point. Would prefer a high level of confidence after completing the course.
