Exercises were hindered by the fact that accessing reference materials were so cumbersome. While the objective of the exercises made sense (i.e. to garner appreciation for all the different factors that should be considered in audit planning) In real life, there would not be enough time to do the kind of meticulous mapping that the exercises had us do. The exercise could have been structured as more of a case study to simulate how these factors would be considered in real life
