I genuinely enjoyed the class and got a lot of out of it. Part of my goals for the year were to come up with meaningful analytics and implement them and this class made it possible for me to accomplish that.

The course is great for beginner level analyst tactics but not for intermediate-advanced users.

Without having experience of using data analytics, it was difficult at times to keep up with the demonstrations in the software. However, teaching the theory and logic, not just how to perform tasks in the software, was very beneficial.

It is good for those with IT backgrounds.

I was hoping for more insights into raw data management. When I selected this course, the description came from MISTI not ACI. It may be that the description changed between the company switch, I don't know. Many DA courses focus on data extracts from production systems, and while I understand the intent, when 80-95% of data analytics is cleaning and organizing data, there should be a place in these type of courses that focuses on dealing with various types of data. Ideas such as how to verify the data source, import techniques for tough data sources such as PDFs, or other data types, and how to clean that data. Tom gave a couple of examples, but I think overall there should be more or a second class maybe one or two days that focuses on desperate data sets, how to organize and document them. It may be mute because there is not a lot of demand for it, but within the government there is. This is great class for someone who is new to DA. I will suggest it if asked.

Excellent course. The instructor did an excellent job of integrating in class exercises that are typically avoided in similar courses. We got a bit of hands on experience with multiple tools which was really helpful. Even though I don't have access to each of these tools seeing how they can be used gave me further insight into the capabilities of the tools that I do have.
