Jason was absolutely brilliant. A really engaging course with lots of opportunity for practical application of the learning. It was also lovely to be outside, and made the situations feel more real. He was knowledgeable but frank with his answers, which was useful. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the course and we'd love to have him back.

Jason was am amazing teacher. His focus on practical exercises and encouraging us to ask questions, get things potentially wrong in a safe environment made the entire two day course orders of magnitude more useful than a classroom powerpoint fest. I feel well set to further advance my plan to become a Mountain Bike coach/ride leader. Would thoroughly recommend this course, and Jason in particular, to anyone.

I really valued the practical scenarios and real-world experiences shared by our trainer, Jason Roe. Jason was happy to answer our questions throughout the two days, allowing us to absorb and apply the information more readily than if we'd just been sitting listening to him run through the required content, with questions saved until the end. Everyone on the course was able to gain practical experience through a variety of realistic scenarios which we could face when leading, or participating in outdoor activities. Jason provided constructive feedback on each of the scenarios, to help us to improve our first aid knowledge, understanding, and practice. He also allowed us to 'build' our own first aid kits, then apply them during realistic first aid scenarios, to help us to see which items were missing and where our kits would benefit from being supplemented with items such as clothing shears and additional emergency blankets. In summary, this was an excellent introduction to outdoor and remote first aid which has provided me with the knowledge that I was seeking, along with a greater awareness of what I need to work on improving.
