The course has only been running since 11th January - 7 weeks therefore it rather difficult after such a short period of time 7 x 90 minutes = 56 hours to give a realistic assessment of the course. Everyone has there own style and preference of learning. This is my first adult foreign language course therefore I have nothing to compare the quality and standard of the class and teaching skills against. Personally I would have preferred to have learned Italian words first before getting into the grammatical aspect of the language. Fortunately I decided to also learn online with Duolingo which has been extremely helpful. Being taught about articles and verbs before knowing the what the Italian words mean makes it quite difficult to grasp certain aspects especially as the in-person class in only 90 minutes per week.

I have thoroughly enjoyed lessons with Paola, who is a patient, kind and personable teacher. She is empathetic and eager to help students' learning. Group lessons are good natured and good fun. Paola has a great sense of humour and as a native Italian enjoys learning from the backgrounds and experiences of her students in turn. I find learning grammar more challenging than expected but think it will provide a more solid base for reading and writing as well as conversing in Italian.

I really enjoy my group lessons with Paola, we all have fun and help each other. With Paola's guidance we work things out, and from knowing nothing last year, I can now read and understand the written Italian passages we are given. We are speaking a lot more too, and Paola is always encouraging us when we get stuck. She has a lovely personality and is a friend as well a teacher.

A few in the class are taking private lessons in addition, to get a grip on what we are doing in class.Which strikes me ,that if that is necessary then the nature of what we do in class and pace needs review to ensure there is a more solid understanding be fore we move on.

Paola is a very effective communicator and teacher that seems very strong in her ability to adapt styles to match the student's needs and preferences. Been a pleasure working with her (and very good support from the team in Marlow)

I am thoroughly enjoying learning Italian with Paola. Her ability to explain clearly and concisely all the key points needed to progress with my learning is second to none. I look forward to every lesson and really feel like I have made great improvements in a relatively short time.

I am really enjoying learning Italian with the lovely Paola! She is doing a great job of putting everything that we cover into context, and we have such a laugh during the lesson. I will definitely be booking more lessons!
