Certificate in Grief and Bereavement Reviews

Having returned to learning I found that learning on-line was initially quite difficult. Personally in the early stages when it took me some time to get into my stride a telephone call from the institute to inquire how things were going would have been supportive. My tutor was very supportive and encouraging.

The course really helped me get myself together. I registered for a course soon after losing my brother and I was going through a hard time. The tutor was really helpful in guiding and giving me some direction throughout the course

The course was very insightful. It gave me all the tools i needed to understand the reasoning behind how and why you take the approach to help the bereaved. Maria was informative with her comments.

I said most of what I wanted to say in my rating for the course overall. I found this module particularly helpful because I not only learnt a lot about grief and bereavement counselling but a lot about myself as well.

I really enjoyed this course as so relevant to my working career, found the subject very relatable and consolidated knowledge I already had as well as encouraging new learning.

The course was very interesting and the cases were very different from each other which kept me on my toes and focused. It was difficult at times to ask clients questions when there was no-one to actually answer them so you were having to imagine what the outcome would be to move forward with your next question. Ultimately I enjoyed the course and I will be able to use my new skills in my job role in Bereavement Services at the Crematorium.

I would have liked to have seen more links included to bereavement material online e.g YouTube clips,training videos etc as in the introduction to counselling. I came across The Counselling Channel which was very insightful.The notes of the course however were good apart from some statements which were a bit vague.

Excellent material. Very carefully selected and the assignments were very cleverly designed, covering a wide range of different client cases.
