Well run course, tutors were very knowledgeable, good at get their message across to the students. They allowed everyone to have their say / input in the course. For someone of an older age, this style of learning suited me better, classroom and distance learning through online session enabled me to make better use of what was being taught.

Some alignment to Heavy Clay Sector required which will be possible through collaboration with images supplied by sector operators. Consideration of time efficiency for quarry visit and assessing alternative 'appraisal' plan. Reduce Aberfan info. Some less applicable catastrophic event videos considered to be less suitable. Tom really portrayed the geotech elements well, from a text book method to practical experience which really helped land the course well.

Really benefitted from this course. Much improved from when I did my level 4 in 2015. The format was good. Maybe needed a little more time from first face to face to the assessment but overall found the content at the right level and easy to follow the on line learning.

To me I benefit more from this style of learning, where I can have the course materials, go away and study them in my own time. This might be an age thing as being an older student, Tom gave excellent pointers to what parts we should be studying / revising to enable us go forwards in readiness for the professional conversation.
