Who should attend
Anyone working on high speed (50mph>) dual carriageways and motorways as a Traffic Safety and Control Officer.
Pre-requisitesIn order to be registered as a Traffic Safety and Control Officer you must:
* Hold a valid NHSS12a Foreman certificate or card
* Hold a valid 3 day First Aid at Work certificate in accordance with the H&S (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
* Hold a valid safety awareness training course award issued by IOSH, CITB or NeBOSH. (See note below)
* Hold a valid TSCO certificate.
NB: In accordance with the NHSS12AB sector scheme requirements, from 1st September 2021 the safety awareness training course may be one of the following:
– IOSH – Managing Safely – with date of issue no longer than 5 years
– IOSH – Directing Safely – with date of issue no longer than 5 years
– CITB – Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)
– CITB – Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS)
– NeBOSH – General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health
– NeBOSH – Certificate in Construction Health and Safety

Fantastic trainer loads ov stuff learnt an knowledge gains
Excellent trainer informative and kept the course flowing with easily digested information, also short regular breaks to avoid fatigue which is a common issue for me with classroom based learning, also an off subject thing excellent to have comfier chairs with padding not just hard plastic in training room this is often neglected with a lot of training centres but improves the experience.
