Immediate Life Support (ILS) Training

Description

This 1-day Immediate Life Support (ILS) training course provides you with the skills to act as a first responder in an emergency, prior to the arrival of an ambulance/ cardiac arrest team

This course comprises of expert blend of theory + immersive practical sessions and expands on existing knowledge of Basic Life Support (BLS) including:

  • Airway management skills
  • ECG recognition
  • Rapid, safe defibrillation, using an AED or a manual defibrillator

Who is this course for?

This course is suitable for all registered healthcare professionals, as a beginners course or as a refresher course, that may have to act as a first responder in an emergency, prior to the arrival of an ambulance/ cardiac arrest team.

  • Recording patient observations and early warning scores
  • Care of the patient with tracheostomy or laryngectomy
  • ReSPECT/ ‘do not attempt cardiopulmonary resuscitation’ (DNACPR) recommendations
