I had a great time and came away with lots of practical techniques to put into practice, as well as food for thought. The course went through the theory and the application of it at a good pace and with plenty of variety. It never felt like I was in a lecture, and likewise it never felt like we'd been left to just play act and make it up ourselves. It felt tailored to our needs and we were able to shape the second day in particular to cover specific areas/challenges that we want to tackle. These sessions led me to consider elements of my role that I've not really reflected on before which was a nice surprise and very valuable. At one or two points it did get a little confusing as to whether we were reporting back to other groups on the sample topic we'd been given to discuss, or the format of the discussion. This was resolved quickly and it turned out to be both in the end anyway which was valuable, so not a big deal.
The extra 30 minutes has made a big difference - pace is fast but not hectic, which suits me perfectly.

Sal had a really great, inclusive teaching style and patiently encouraged us to support each other and retry instructions if we missed something as we went along.
Really enjoyed the course - I wasn't too sure what to expect but I actually ended up learning a lot. I thought Rachael was brill and I loved how she ensured that she covered all our individual wants, and also adapted the content accordingly - especially the day 2 agenda. There were aspects of the course that I felt focused more on facilitation as though you was a trainer rather than facilitating meetings that we would usually be hosting. I'm not sure if it was asked during the organisation, but it could be good to understand what sort of sessions the attendees usually run prior.
Another productive and thought provoking session
One day one I was worried that the course was not going to meet the need of the attendees. The content seemed very 'entry level' and not something that was suitable for the experienced facilitators in the room. That being said, Rachael was very open to feedback and was very open to adapting the content and format of day two to meet our needs. The discussion was rich and valuable. Rachael created a strong sense of trust and is a fantastic listener.
