The trainer was excellent, really informative and engaging. Very good communication skills and good at teaching. I am disappointed that we do not get paid for the training, do not get parking refunded or even drinks. With the cost of living crisis, people have had to cancel shifts to do this training losing money, pay for parking which is expensive, food and drinks. I found the training useful and beneficial. As a mental health nursing student I found it effective but the support workers agree that it is quite complex for their band. It would have been helpful if first aid was included and safeguarding. It would have been better if there was also more manual handling. I would appreciate it if it was a one day training course even longer hours to save paying for parking and lunches twice and losing 2 shifts.

Please include training for Babies, first aid, cpr, safeguarding, safer sleeping etc

Having done online for the past few years it was good to bounce ideas and learn with others.

This refresher for Support Workers could easily be done in 1 day a lot of the course work was aimed at Nurses and not relevant to me

Course trainer Marryann was so brilliant 👏. Explained everything in detail. We had very up-to-date practical training as well, which was entertaining. She has a marvellous sense of humour and really made a big difference. However, there were many course details which were not relevant to us. I wish it would be revised and made professionally focused.

The training was managed well with all participants being given the opportunity to participate in a friendly and professional manner.
