The start of the two day training was very stressful as NHSP had not communicated to me the change of venue and I arrived at the right time, in the wrong place. NHSP were able to give me the right address within about three quarters of an hour which made me one hour late when I finally arrived. Mary-Ann greeted me in the car park with a welcoming smile which soon made me feel at ease. Her friendliness, use of language, knowledge, encouragement and enthusiasm can not be faulted in any way over the 2 days I spent with her as her student.

Met my personal objective, with appetite to explore further esp re: autism & how to communicate better with autistic service users. Learned to use a hoist - very interesting even tho I am unlikely to use one in practice. The trainer did the sessions in quite an informal way allowing lots of discussion which sometimes derailed timing of sections of the program but he was flexible enough to make it work
