I think the course is useful and the subjects covered are all important. My only concern is that for the amount of information two days from 9 am to 5 pm is a bit heavy and tiredness and concentration decrease. I would suggest to reduce the course until 3 pm.

As discussed at the outset o the course thé course leader did not know the level of experience of the course attendees In light of this he did an excellent job of adapting the course to take account if our previous training and clinical experience . More details are required by attendees detailing aims and objectives of the course , course content . Attendees need to know that they are not paid for this . Basic tea and coffee should be providedResponse : Hi Caroline Many thanks for your feedback - we deliver the training on behalf of NHSP so we will pas your comments back to colleagues at NHSP. Very best wishes Mandy

Course was enjoyable. Quite relevant.

The course contents was broad and meant to capture its intended audience. The manner in which information regarding this course is disseminated to its participants needs to be reviewed for effectiveness. Most of the participants on the course found out accidentally, either through a phone call chasing something else with NHSP or through colleagues who were aware from partaking on the course previously. Not the best way to plan for a 2 day mandatory course where you have to travel a 200 mile round trip, plan for child care and still you’re not being remunerated for those 2 days.

The training was comprehensive and interactive. I particularly enjoyed it being a small group which focused clearly on the objectives. Some aspects of the two days training did duplicate certain aspects of the NHSP elearning modules. I was disappointed to discover there would be no financial remuneration for attending this mandatory training, particularly in view of recently completing all 22 elearning modules also with no financial remuneration. This totals approximately 2.5 weeks of my own time in order to meet NHSP compliance without pay. Due to the national shortage of nurses, recruitment and retention issues, I consider pay to be a reasonable expectation for NHSP employees. A buffet lunch, biscuits, pastries and refreshments should be provided during the course, as a gesture of good will and to reflect the value/ welcome new NHSP staff. From a health and safety perspective, the female trainer should not be required to move, and carry a heavy hoist from her vehicle to the venue due to risk of injury, back strain. The venue was accessible with good parking. The heating became more effective as time went on.
