AI summary of reviews

Attendees particularly value the practical use of the ALGEE framework, scenarios and discussions, which make difficult mental-health topics approachable and give them confidence to recognise distress and start sensitive conversations with young people. They describe knowledgeable, empathetic trainers who create a relaxed, non-judgemental space, alongside a well-structured blend of self-study, webinars and breakout activities. The handbook and resources support application at work, though some prefer face-to-face delivery.

A really valuable course and I really appreciated being able to draw on the expertise of the presenters. This course would be incredibly valuable to newly qualified teachers (indeed all teachers!) in schools, both in terms of preparing them well for working with pupils with mental health issues but also in terms of supporting their own mental health and wellbeing. There is very little/no input like this on initial teacher training or the NQT year and I hope to rectify this next year.

A great course, thank you to Stephen and Victoria for delivering such useful information. It was also good to speak to other schools about the experiences they experience in schools with children and how they support them. I will recommend this course to other colleagues, as I feel it is so important to be aware of the mental health first aid. I would also be interested in other training that is available along this line. Once again, Thank you.
