I have had a number of conversations with students and have got as far as asking the blunt question and asking if they have a plan but after contacting home and making the referrals, the difficult bit is keeping them in lessons and in school and safe. Following this course, I feel confident that I will be able to help prepare a safety plan for when students still feel down but we don't want the suicidal intent to come back. A plan to continue to keep them safe. Thank you.

It was great even via video call as we could still get great training virtually so this amazing course can still reach practitioners/workers within the community.

Great Course. Delivered well. We all know how online training can be hard to stay engaged in, but this was very easy to engage in

I was a little apprehensive about the thought of Suicide First Aid on a Monday plus it being a virtual training session - I was unsure what to expect. However, Chris kept it informative, not too heavy and interesting. A good amount of interactivity, opportunities to practice some skills and "theory". He also made sure there was a short break every 1.5 hours - I found this good, not just due to the nature of the training but also the temptation when working virtually can be to be glued to your desk all day.
