Having attended the course for 1 day, I found my fellow students all currently working within the electrical trade. Although I’m a qualified electrician, I’ve been out of the trade 31years. I found the Regs book almost impossible to navigate, and soon felt like I was bottom of the class. The rate of delivery was too fast for me personally. I think the course is more suited to people currently in the trade, not someone who’s been out of it for so long like me. At the point of booking personally I think I would have benefitted from more info, more time to prepare. If I’m honest, I’d probably need a week just to familiarise myself with the regs book. The tutor Andy was sound, knows his stuff. He’s just got to get through his delivery which imo doesn’t cater for people like me who’s been out of the trade for so long. Everything was 100mph, I was constantly asking what page we were on, struggling to keep up. I eventually felt overwhelmed and that there was no point in continuing, I left early the first day. £495.00 wasted and a dream shattered.

The tutor was good. Although went into too much detail on certain subjects and found it a little boring. Believe the course should be 3 days then test on the 4th as I felt drained as well as the other students doing the test in the afternoon. Believe I would of scored a lot higher this way.

The tutor did his best, but there was construction work using power tools including impact drivers going on just outside the classroom throughout the course. This caused a major disturbance, and at times the tutor could not be heard over the noise.

More past papers required and better presentation

The course was good overall in a great venue and easily accessible location My only criticism was the lunch provisions which I assume, due to the Covid restrictions were extremely basic Unfortunately there was limited choice and for me personally nothing was to my liking so had nothing to eat for the whole time I was there
