Not the trainers fault...an hour is to little time to look at this topic. A link to send would have been good

very engaging whistle stop tour of evidence informed practice. I would love to see some more emphasis on the specific research - highlighting the studies and researchers.

It was genuinely one of the best presented INSEDs from an outside provider I have had since I joined the school in 2010. Three hour-long presentations and I didn't look at my watch once! I liked the interactive nature of it and how it got us to think. The presenters used humour and didn't talk down to us. Bear in mind I have had numerous presentations and INSEDs on retrieval practice, metacognition and cognitive load theory in my life it was good to still enjoy them even though I didn't learn much new (but that isn't your fault).

We have been discussing the content e.g. like cold calling or metacognitive in majority staff training for past few years, and every time it's very surface/basic touch, we need more in depth training and how it would be helpful to apply to different types of students,

Useful to review some quite familiar ideas and have the research behind them explained and good practice reinforced.

Really interesting and excellent delivery. Difficult to teach a large group of aged teachers who have seen and heard it all before
