A lot of material to cover for people who do not have any IT experience or background. More time should be dedicated to the class.
Mr. Cole has been a delight to learn from, hes been exceptional at giving the tips and resources necessary to do well in this class, and in relating how the things we've learned in 1101 coincide with future courses such as 1102+, net+ and security+
To be a fast past course the curriculum shouldn't be just read from power point.
This Course has a volume of information that was challenging to learn in 40 hours. Being new to IT, I definitely had to spend time learning new vocabulary and equipment.
Great course, I wish things were a little more slowed down but I understand this is an accelerated program. I think whoever takes this course just needs to understand there is much effort on your part to study at home because there is so much information given in a short period of time.
English in not my first language, so it's a little hard for me to understand everything. But I used the provided materials to to back and study to fully understand the topic. Patrick is an amazing teacher. I would love to be in his class again.
Overall I like im walking out of the course with more knowledge but not enough to feel even close to taking the real certification exam. I feel like the long rabbit hole stories that got completely off-topic, were a big issue because after the entire story it was hard to lock back in on. exactly what is in the material and before you knew it, we were in a different module. Very difficult to retain. great opportunity to catch up on notes though. He said he was going to tell us when something came up we needed. to write down that maybe happened 7 times throughout 2 weeks. I didn't know what info to soak in or to not focus on. Very hard to understand which topics are extremly vaulable and how this course is material. connects with the actual exam. Overall laclustre of a class, my only bet is to take what I have studied more online and hope for the best. But Patrick is a great instructor just dont think he compliments my learning style.
Great instructor and very knowledgable, but at times would try to give us too much information all at once that it would be overwhelming. I would say a room for growth for the instructor, would be to be more organized in the order he does subjects, at times he would be all over the place and would confuse me. Also maybe something more interactive like for example a class kahoot game.
All study and in class materials need to be geared more towards the CompTIA Materials it was very different from what CompTIA is asking for during the Certification test.
