Introduction To Mindfulness

A single session designed to give an introduction to mindfulness and meditation.

Our introduction sessions are tailored for specific groups, and can last anything from 1 hour to a whole day. In the session you can practise a range of simple meditations (seated in a chair or lying down), and ask questions.

We can run the introduction sessions online as well as in-person.

Mindfulness meditation, through techniques such as focused breathing and exploring sensations in the body, has been clinically shown to reduce anxiety by up to 30%, enhance emotional resilience and improve sleep, according to recent studies (eg, Smith et al., 2023).

What you will learn

The session includes a brief explanation of what mindfulness is, and how it can help people relax and cope with challenges of life such as stress, anxiety, depression, overthinking and sleep problems.

We introduce simple skills to:

- let go of difficult thoughts and overthinking

- manage strong emotions

- develop self-compassion

- cultivate gratitude and increase pleasure in things we take for granted.
