Description
Mental Health Awareness (MHA) is one way we can try to understand and help someone who may be experiencing a mental health problem. 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem every year, so learning how to help is really important.
This course runs in conjunction with Mind Woking, the Mental Health Charity.
Mental Health Awareness is for anyone aged 16 yrs upwards in schools, workplaces and community groups, who wants and needs to recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health issues and successfully help a person get the right support.
*It is important to know that the topics covered in this course can be distressing to some people, as we cover topics such as suicide and self-harm. Please ensure that if you are booking the course for somebody else, that you communicate the course content with your delegates before you book them on, so that you know they feel comfortable attending the course.*
What you will learn
This two day course will ensure delegates gain an understanding of common mental health illnesses and be given the confidence to promote mental health awareness.
