The SMSTS Refresher is a 2-day CITB-accredited course designed for existing site managers to refresh and update their knowledge on health, safety, welfare, and environmental responsibilities, ensuring compliance with current legislation and best practices.
What you will learn
The refresher course updates participants on both legal and practical aspects of site management, covering areas such as:
- Health and Safety law, including the Health and Safety at Work Act Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM 2015)
- Risk assessments, method statements, and site setup Leadership, worker engagement, and communication on site Managing hazards including asbestos, electricity, fire safety, and work at height.
- Occupational health considerations and environmental issues.
- Temporary works, plant, mobile equipment, and lifting operations
- Review of new guidance, industry best practices, and proposed legislative changes
