About this course

The CISRS Scaffolding Part 1 course is a 10‑day, classroom‑based and practical course designed to teach the core skills needed for the safe erection, alteration, and dismantling of basic scaffolding structures.

this course is part of the CISRS Operative Training Scheme (COTS)

What you will learn

  • Health and Safety Awareness and Risk Assessment.
  • Fall prevention training (SG4/half-day) Manual handling and general scaffold stability
  • Methods of access and egress Gin wheel operations, knots, and hitches
  • Interpretation of scaffold drawings and design features Practical erection and dismantling of tube and fitting or proprietary system scaffolds including: independent, putlog, birdcage, static tower, mobile tower, and staircases
