The CISRS Basic Scaffold Inspection course is a three-day programme designed for individuals responsible for statutory inspections of basic scaffold structures, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to comply with current legislation and Codes of Practice
What you will learn
Delegates will develop a thorough understanding of the following:
- Basic scaffolding types, including interior birdcage, putlog, splayed bays, return, towers, and chimney-stack scaffolds.
- Scaffolding terminology and components (standards, ledgers, transoms, tubes, boards, ties) Temporary edge protection, safe access, and means of egress Overview of TG20 guidance and relevant Regulations, Codes of Practice, and Standards (e.g., NASC, SG4:15).
- Health, Safety & Environment requirements associated with scaffolding.
- Inspection procedures, fault identification, and completion of statutory inspection reports
- Practical on-site scaffold inspection exercises and application of safety compliance measures.
