About this course

The CISRS 2 Day Skills Assessment is a practical course designed to assess a scaffolder’s ability to safely erect, alter, and dismantle advanced scaffolding structures in line with CISRS standards.

The CISRS 2 Day Skills Assessment is primarily a practical assessment, designed to evaluate that scaffolders can competently apply the knowledge and skills acquired during their CISRS Advanced Scaffolding course

What you will learn

Throughout the two days, candidates awill learn how to:

  • Erect and dismantle advanced scaffolding structures – Candidates will construct multiple advanced scaffold assemblies using tube and fitting or system scaffolding, ensuring compliance with current best practices.
  • Alter scaffold structures safely – Testing candidates’ ability to make adjustments to existing scaffolds, reflecting real-world on-site requirements.
  • Assess and interpret instructions – Candidates will read, understand, and apply drawings, specifications, or method statements, ensuring their scaffold plans are accurate.
  • Produce materials lists and method statements – This includes selecting the correct components, planning the build sequence, and providing a safe method of construction.
  • Implement risk assessments and safety procedures – Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and demonstrating effective use of PPE and scaffolding safety practices.
  • Display professional competency – Supervisors/assessors confirm that candidates meet the standards required for a CISRS Advanced Scaffolder Card by evaluating workmanship, safety awareness, and efficiency during practical tasks.
