About this course
The CABWI Streetworks course equips delegates with the skills and knowledge to safely perform street works, including excavation, reinstatement, and supervision, in compliance with the New Roads and Street Works Act (1991)
What you will learn
In this course, you will learn how to:
- Understand location and avoidance of underground apparatus to prevent utility damage.
- Apply signing, lighting, and guarding techniques to safeguard street works sites.
- Conduct excavations in highways and public areas safely. Perform reinstatement and compaction of backfill materials.
- Reconstruct sub-base, road base, and various road surfaces, including non-bituminous, cold-lay bituminous, hot-lay bituminous materials, concrete slabs, modular surfaces, and concrete footways.
