C&G Confined Space Low Risk

The C&G Confined Space Low Risk course is a one-day, nationally recognised training program that equips delegates to work safely in low-risk confined spaces across water and non-water industry sectors

What you will learn

Delegates will be trained to:

Prepare for safe work in low-risk confined spaces, including equipment usage, authorisation, communication protocols, establishing safety zones, and monitoring.

Enter and exit confined spaces safely, using appropriate monitoring and access equipment, carrying out safety inspections, and addressing unsafe activities.

Use equipment and tools safely, performing pre- and post-use checks.

Follow safe working procedures, including communication methods, lone working protocols, personal protective equipment (PPE), vigilance, and documentation/reporting.

Handle emergencies effectively, including emergency exit procedures and reporting incidents.

Understand the principles of confined space work, covering health, safety, and environmental legislation, workplace exposure limits, types of spaces, common emergencies, and job roles/responsibilities.

Comprehend protocols for working in low-risk confined spaces, including classifications, procedures, methods for risk reduction, equipment checks, and communication and emergency reporting systems.
