About this course
The Advanced Scaffold Inspection course is a two-day professional training designed to equip experienced scaffolders and inspectors with the knowledge and skills to safely inspect complex scaffolding structures in compliance with UK regulations.
The training covers both theoretical and practical aspects both in-classroom and on-site
What you will learn
- Understanding scaffolding regulations and Health & Safety requirements under the Work at Height Regulations.
- Learning to interpret design specifications, Codes of Practice, and international scaffold standards.
- Gaining practical skills for inspecting various scaffold types, identifying faults, and completing formal inspection reports.
- Developing competence in risk assessment, scaffold safety evaluation, and legal responsibilities for advanced scaffold structures.
- Statutory requirements, approved Codes of Practice, and Health & Safety guidelines.
- Scaffolding terminology, components, and ties. Complex scaffold constructions such as ramps, gantries, temporary roofs, slung scaffolds, cantilever drop scaffolds, shoring, falsework, suspended and splayed scaffolds.
- Scaffold inspection in practice, including scaffold tagging systems and detailed report writing which includes overviews of fall prevention and advanced component information.
