The CITB Health and Safety Awareness Course is a one-day training programme designed to provide a basic understanding of health and safety responsibilities on construction sites. Delegates will learn how to identify common hazards, work safely, and contribute to a positive health and safety culture.
Part of CITB’s Site Safety Plus scheme, the course is ideal for those new to construction or anyone looking to refresh their knowledge. Successful completion leads to a CITB Site Safety Plus Certificate valid for five years.
What you will learn
The CITB Health and Safety Awareness course covers:
Site responsibilities, health, welfare, and accident reporting
Emergency procedures and first aid awareness
Safe working practices, including work at height, manual handling, and PPE
Site transport, tools, and equipment safety
Common health and environmental hazards, including noise, vibration, hazardous substances, and electricity
By the end of the course, delegates will understand key health and safety responsibilities, safe working practices, and how to identify and report hazards to help prevent accidents on site.
