This course looks at the study and application of therapeutic communication approaches to establish a supportive relationship with clients.
What you will learn
The student studies and applies training in the:
counselling process
development of the core counselling qualities and skills
application of the key skills of Problem Management and Opportunity Development Model – Egan.
At the heart would be the development of professional and ethical practice in therapeutic counselling.

Good to study, quality materials, regular assessment, bite sizes, affordable, feedback but more specific tutorial or video recommendations and a personal contact with tutor would be good.

I have thoroughly enjoyed studying with the Institute of Counselling and will continue with further courses in the future. I was originally concerned about distance learning but with the tutor support and contact available from the the institutes admin team has alleviated any concerns that I had. The study plans and guidelines are really helpful to keep you on track and overall, I am very happy.
