
Description
This City & Guilds course is aimed at qualified and experienced electricians who wish to understand the requirements for design, installation and maintenance of electrical energy storge systems (EESS), typically within a domestic or small commercial setting. The course content is presented in accordance with the IET Code of Practice for Electrical Energy Storage Systems and the requirements of the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS).
What you will learn
The purpose of this course is to cover the knowledge, understanding and skills required for the design, installation and maintenance of electrical energy storage systems. (EESS)
It follows the IET Code of Practice for Electrical Energy Storage Systems and industry guidance, together with the requirements of BS 7671.
It will include a range of relevant outcomes covering:
Statutory legislation applicable to EESS
The principles of Batteries and EESS
The design and specification of the EESS
Installation, inspection and testing
The handover documentation and MCS requirements
The qualification will also be mapped to the latest National Occupational Standard (NOS) SPV01
