Description
According to Article 32 of the NYS Mold Law, it shall be unlawful for any contractor to engage in mold remediation on a project, or to advertise or hold themselves out as a mold remediation contractor unless such contractor has a valid mold remediation license. In order to get the Mold Remediation License an individual must take this course. In addition, to supervisor mold abatement workers you must take this course. The course takes 3 days to complete and a final exam at the end of the course must be passed.
What you will learn
Health effects of mold, proper personal protective equipment use for mold remediation, remediation methods and equipment, mold prevention, developing a remediation plan, and review of NYS Mold Law and accepted industry standards. The supplemental course manual is IICRC S520 “Standard and Reference Guide for Professional Mold Remediation.”
