Great course with real practical experience. Areas of improvement: Include investigation and root cause analysis of protection operations and performance, settings comparisons (design vs as left), protection drawings schematic readings and interpretation to name the few.

Excellent course and very worth while. Been great experience working on the different relays and programming them up to allow us to work on them and test them. Alan is very knowledgable and helps along the way as well as explaining plenty about how the relay works and there uses. Great course

The Faraday Centre P3 Advanced Protection course was strongly focused on the practical application of transformer protection rather than extended theoretical coverage. The course provided hands-on experience in configuring and validating protection settings on ABB, Schneider, SEL, and Siemens relays. Exercises covered key transformer and feeder protection functions. The practical approach to navigating different relay platforms and implementing equivalent protection philosophies across multiple manufacturers was particularly valuable. This significantly improved my understanding of how protection principles are translated into vendor-specific settings and logic. Overall, the course was well structured, technically rigorous, and directly applicable to professional protection engineering work. I will recommend booking a course with Faraday.
