Trainer: Felt the trainer was rude towards people and singled people out a lot and belittled them with their knowledge. Ignored people that had experianxe within the healthcare sector already when ever you asked a question if you had general knowledge she would shut you down. The trainer knew nothing about the care certificate and when other people in the group had completed it she was telling them that they had re do it when that incorrect and then someone would say it a life time qualification it doesn’t expire it would just be the e learning you would have to re do every year she become agitated and told them she been in this industry for over 20 years and should know what she talking about. Someone in our group slipped on a slide sheet that got left on the floor and all she could say was I told you look what your doing which isn’t the correct attitude. We had another member of staff come in to help “manual handling trainer” every time this person asked what she wanted her todo she told her nothing and just told her to sit their. Manual handling In some areas was delivered wrong. She would tell you to move a patient by placing you hand on the back of the bum (this should be on the knee) and then one on the shoulder. Due to the lack of organisation and the lateness in the mornings (waiting around 30 mins) and this then had us running behind even more with her constant story telling that she had. This made us always run over late on the 3 days leaving me to be late to collect my children from childcare all the time (they due to be collected at 6pm we wouldn’t leave till 530/545) this left me with £50 late charges each day totalling of £150 for the 3 days.
