Assessing the Care Certificate
A 2 Day Face to Face Course and follow up Teams session, for competent and motivated staff who are willing to help others and in a potition of responsibility regarding assessing learners in their organisation. This course entails fresh ideas to improve the level of assessment when undertaking the Care Certificate' 15 standards. We have available cohorts as described below.
What you will learn
Day 1 + Day 2 will be face to face
- Develop a strategy to deliver the Care Certificate's 15 standards for your organisation
- Ensuring your policies are in line with CQC requirements for the induction process
- Examine how to support competency based assessment
- Utilise paperwork that supports assessment
Day 3 will be virtual
- There are also further opportunities to meet for Quality Assurance to ensure competent assessment of the Care Certificate
Recent reviews
The content was pretty confusing as to where we stand with the Care Certificate. Because there were reps from different areas of the industry it was hard to make it a 'one size fits all' approach. There was a lot of repetitive content - I feel like the content could be streamlined and be covered in a day. I don't feel we need to be writing on large pieces of paper in groups when it was a fairly small group to begin with, open conversation would suffice.
