The participants were very pleased with the course and rated it as excellent. They very much appreciated the emphasis on practical scenarios and less 'chalk and talk'. They felt that it was definitely an improvement on the previous course three years ago. It was felt that the knowledge was more easily embedded when learnt through practical application combined with feedback and discussion after scenarios, as opposed to classical formal delivery. The teaching included practical adaptations rather than just a purely theoretical stance.
There was a lot of material covered in one day and so at times they felt there was a lot to remember. However the availability of the course notes after the course did go a long way to help consolidate their learning.
Jason is an excellent communicator, with good knowledge and experience. He conveyed the reality of what the participants needed to do rather than just textbook teaching. The participants felt that this gave them more confidence to deal with potential real life situations. Jason worked very hard during the day and was always aware of what everyone was doing during the outdoor scenarios, even when the group was spread out over a wide area.
Overall the group felt it was a valuable day and represented good value for money.

Brendan, our course leader, was very engaging and had great knowledge of his subject. The practical sessions for CPR were especially invaluable, giving everyone a real feel of what to expect in a real life situation. Some of the information passed on might be available on video, or in apps, but that is a pale imitation of what can be learned in real life from an expert such as Brendan.

Andy has impressive in depth knowledge of his subject and engaged very effectively with the group. However I felt that, at times, I was being given more information than I needed and it was difficult to retain it all. A PowerPoint presentation may have worked better than Andy writing on a small white board....but this was probably a factor of the location.
Overall it was an effective course well presented by Andy.
