One-day, exciting, fun, practical & insightful in-house training exploring how to run successful projects from inception to completion. Working with real projects participants investigate the most effective way to work through challenges, create real value &, unlike so many projects, finish well.
What you will learn
Overview of the day
We split the planning into 3 sections (Pre-project, Initiation, Delivery, Closure). During each section individual managers work on their individual A project plans, working on large sheets of paper.
Check in Including people working in teams to complete a high energy challenge, illuminating the core facets & issues involved in running projects
Pre-Project The most important part! – exploring outcomes, stakeholders, scope, business case, RACI & roles, risk, etc
Initiation Starting well, understanding timelines, Gant charts, pre-mortems, forecasting, making choices
Delivery Communications, Stakeholder management, reporting, myths of multitasking, managing the team
Closure How to get this right. Collecting, receiving & responding to feedback
Final presentations of each plan back to the room
Pre-work
There is a little pre-work needed for each participant. The key piece being working with their line manager to identify a suitable project to work on during the day.
