About this course
The BTEC Level 3 Award in Education and Training is an introductory teaching qualification that prepares learners for teaching in a wide range of contexts. This qualification will give learners an introduction to the requirements within the lifelong learning sector; it does not qualify a learner to become a teacher, but gives the basic knowledge and understanding of the requirements of a adult educator.
The qualification runs over 4 days; the first two days consisting of workshop delivery, the third day an assessment session, where learners will deliver their own micro teach session to their peers. The final day is a tutorial day where all final assessments are completed including a micro-teach session with peers and a Tutor assessment.

As someone who has learning difficulties I felt that I was being bombarded with information and struggled some what.
Good course, would have been good if the course content was laid out online from the start and logins were sent promptly so that you could upload as you went along. Sally dealt very well with some of the staff who were un enthusiastic and brought them around.
I think overall I have learnt a lot and have developed my teaching skills exponentially. I think to improve, the booklet could've been filled in as we went along as I feel like we were going through a lot of information making notes. I feel like the teacher engaged with the class effectively ensuring all students' questions were answered and any issues were thoroughly explained.
