Respirators are categorized as Personal Protective Equipment and are typically the last level of control. However, there are many times when respirators are used as the only level of control. This short course explains the Hierarchy of Respirators. From the quarter mask to the N95 respirator (dusk masks) to the half-face/full-face respirators to PAPRs to self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA). This course provides the user with a basic understanding of the hierarchy of respirators.
