Description

Zoom is much more than just a site where you can see each other remotely. Discover howto make your meetings and events truly interactive in this two hour live online session.

Instead of the old dull physical meetings which used to be dominated by one or two people, discover how – online with Zoom – you can involve everybody and become more focused.

What you will learn

This session will leave you confident in being able to create an interactive online meeting that will make you never want to go back to a physical version.

1. Breakout Rooms
Put people into breakout rooms so everybody gets a say. Use broadcast, move people around and recreate a different set next time.

2. See People: Keep slides to a minimum
Gallery/Speaker View. Keep slides to 20% and instead interact with the others in the meeting.

3. Use the Chat Room
Get responses from everybody, encourage questions, get people to check things offline without having to intervene.

4. Using the participants box
Yes/No; Too fast / Too slow; Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down; Hands up

5. Hand gestures
Even better is to get people to physically put their hands up or show numbers of fingers.

6. Polling
Create polls, on the spot, to find what the overall view is.

7. Use shared documents
Zoom enables you to switch to Google Docs, Google Sheets, Mural, Slido or anything else that takes your fancy. Get a clear viewpoint from 20 people in two minutes, no need to have everybody speak to find out what they are thinking.

8. Whiteboard
On the whiteboard or on any document, people can annotate and express their view.

9. Get people to do stuff
Stuck in a 3 hour session. Take breaks, get people to do stuff. Star jumps even.
