Intermediate Cyber Insurance

Description

This insurance course is designed for delegates, who have some experience of Cyber Insurance and wish to expand and/or refresh their knowledge in this area.

There will be a maximum of 10 delegates.

The course is delivered by a Certified On-Line Learning Facilitator (COLF) who is a Chartered Insurance Broker with over 40 years insurance experience.

Course Objectives
Delegates who successfully complete this course will be able to:

  • Identify which types of customer could benefit from insurance against cyber risks
  • Explain the extent of cover for cyber risks in standard non-cyber policies
  • Explain the policy cover, conditions and exclusions of specialist cyber risks insurance policies in the UK
  • Outline the major risk, underwriting and rating considerations of cyber risks insurance
  • Describe the main Risk controls available

  • The impact of cloud computing on cyber risks
  • The cover provided by conventional insurance policies against cyber risks
  • Affirmative Cyber Endorsements (Exclusions) and their application to professional indemnity policies
  • The cover, conditions and exclusions of specialist cyber risks insurance policies in the UK
  • Risk controls and the role of IT and HR staff in cyber risk management
  • Insurers’ information requirements and underwriting considerations for cyber risks insurance

This in-house face to face course can be tailored to meet individual client needs and a final course outline will be agreed prior to delivery of the course.
