Who should attend
All persons needing to become a Registered Streetworks Operative working on the roads/highways in accordance with the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (NRSWA)
Pre-requisites
All learners are required to be familiar with the content of The Safety at Streetworks and Roadworks ACOP “The Red Book” as they will be required to pass a multiple choice underpinning knowledge test prior to be permitted to undertake the practical assessment required to complete the award.
It is recommended that all learners have some experience of / knowledge of work site surveys & identifying hazards, to establish signing, lighting & guarding requirements. Installing temporary traffic management signals, including relevant signage, etc. Protecting pedestrians, vehicular site personnel (i.e. creating footways, traffic lanes and safety zones).

There were questions in the test where we have had no training making it harder to pass
Test was hard due to no previous training on some of the questions but was good managed to pass 3rd time
