This one-day open course assists delegates in understanding key aspects of a medical malpractice policy and the cover offered to policyholders. The course assists delegates in their understanding of the key aspects of medical malpractice underwriting and claims.
The course examines common definitions within a medical malpractice wording, what is and what is not covered. The course also examines the extent of the insurer’s liability in claim situations and limits of liability. This includes an assessment of the policyholder’s obligations and how Claims defences are conducted. Finally, the course enables delegates to analyse policy liability by relating real claim situations to policy wordings thereby gaining a unique insight into the workings of standard and nonstandard medical malpractice cover.
