Description
Under OSHA regulation 1926.454 (a), each employer shall have each employee who performs work while on a scaffold/aerial lift trained to recognize the hazards associated with the type of scaffold/aerial lift being used and to understand the procedures to control or minimize those hazards.
NOTE: This course is only for workers performing work on a scaffold/aerial lift. This course does not provide sufficient information for competency or allow for erecting, disassembling, moving, operating, repairing, maintaining, or inspecting of scaffolds/aerial lift.
What you will learn
The nature of potential electrical hazards, fall hazards, and falling object hazards; correct procedures for dealing with electrical hazards and for erecting, maintaining, and disassembling the fall protection systems and falling object protection systems used; proper use of the aerial lifts, and the proper handling of materials on the aerial lift; the maximum intended load and the load-carrying capacities of the aerial lifts used.
