Description
A workplace where people feel comfortable, and confident to give and receive feedback is workplace that’s performing. We receive feedback everyday from our colleagues, friends, family and sometimes a stranger in the street. We don’t always ask for the feedback or want the feedback! We know that feedback is essential to healthy relationships, even if we don’t call or label it as feedback, but most of the time we want to know how we’re doing.
What you will learn
In order to learn about giving and receiving feedback effectively it’s important to learn how give feedback constructively, focus on the facts, thoughts and feelings, be sincere, be direct and be specific. Giving someone feedback is not about making yourself feel better, it’s about helping the person your giving feedback observe their own performance and develop.
